Item description

Monkey Face is a unique and relatively rare pepper variety known for its distinctive shape, which resembles the face of a monkey. Its scientific name is Capsicum annuum var. annuum, and it belongs to the Solanaceae family, the same family as tomatoes and potatoes. The pepper has a medium heat level, with a Scoville rating of around 5,000 to 10,000. It typically takes around 80 to 90 days from planting to harvest, and the plant can reach a height of up to 2-3 feet. The leaves of the plant are usually green and somewhat elongated, and the fruits are small to medium-sized, measuring around 1-2 inches in length and width. The immature fruit is light green, and as it matures, it turns a bright yellow or orange color, depending on the level of ripeness. One of the most interesting things about the Monkey Face pepper is its flavor profile. While it has a mild to moderate heat level, it also has a sweet and slightly fruity flavor, making it a versatile ingredient for a range of dishes. Some people have even described the flavor as being similar to that of a habanero pepper, but without the intense heat. Despite its unusual appearance, the Monkey Face pepper has a long history and has been cultivated in various parts of the world for centuries. It is believed to have originated in Central or South America and was likely brought to Europe by Spanish explorers in the 16th century. Today, it is still relatively rare and is mainly grown by specialty pepper enthusiasts and small-scale farmers.. =s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s==s=s Free shipping to Canada- and USA Selected seeds only Add this item to your cart and keep shopping-- at https://www.ebay.ca/usr/okiger-2i55iwk =s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s==s=s=s=s=s=s=s= ?
