Pre-viewed for quality and has a constant steady horizontal line at the bottom edge of the frame from 7 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes, almost the entire length of the movie. Still very watchable and therefore priced accordingly.
Cassette is nice and clean and the box is in great shape too. Out Of Print (OOP) in all formats and no longer being produced.
During a leering New York game show called "Peeping Toms" sweet Danielle Breton ( a pre-'Superman' Margot Kidder), a relocated French Canadian, hooks up for dinner with nice guy Philip. Their date is disrupted by Danielle's seemingly obsessive ex-husband, Emil, who urges her to return with him. Danielle refuses and goes home with Philip, where they share a night of passion during which he fails to notice a huge scar along her abdomen.
The next morning Philip overhears Danille arguing with an angry woman in the apartment; Danielle explains that her twin, Dominique, has come to visit from a mental institution for their birthday.
Later Danielle's neighbour, a pushy columnist named Grace Collier sees something nasty through the window and calls the police to investigate a possible murder. Dominique is nowhere to be found, but Grace is infuriated by the police's lack of cooperation. With the help of a private eye (Charles Durning) and her own journalistic investigative training, Grace decides to uncover the truth behind these two twins, who harbour a truly chilling past history.
