Item description
Interesting find at a recent estate sale. Apparently a family member worked at AMC theatres and brought this home as a ?souvenir?. It?s been sitting around and was included in the recent sale. It?s is a trailer on film - Trailer ?D? that includes ?Haywire?.
We are fans of Star Wars but more so of the first three so we had to go look it up.
Here is a synopsis of what we found:
?Star Wars: Episode 1" is the movie titled "The Phantom Menace."
Regarding "Haywire" and its connection to "Star Wars Episode 1":
V-6 Haywire Grenade: There's a weapon in the Star Wars universe called the V-6 haywire grenade, which is an electromagnetic pulse grenade used by the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. It was featured in the 2004 video game Star Wars: Battlefront. This is a canonical item within the Star Wars universe.
"Haywire" as a character: In some fan-created roleplaying content, there is a character named "Haywire" who is a reformed Buzz Droid (a Pistoeka Sabotage Droid) that has been equipped with beskar plating and struggles with conflicting programming, constantly wanting to both repair and dismantle technology. However, this character is not officially part of the established Star Wars canon.
"Haywire" as a nickname for a Clone Trooper: There is also a fan-created concept of a Clone Private named "Haywire" who is a technician rather than a combat-focused clone, excelling in mechanics and weapon maintenance. This is not an official canon character.
Gina Carano and "Haywire": Actress Gina Carano, who portrayed Cara Dune in The Mandalorian, also starred in the action film Haywire directed by Steven Soderbergh. This is a separate movie and not directly related to Star Wars: Episode 1.
The V-6 Haywire Grenade may be a connection to the movie "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace." The name "Haywire" is not associated with any official character in "The Phantom Menace."
We think as a piece of Star Wars memorabilia, it?s just an awesome item to display.
If you have the projector and can get it to run, even better.
