Item description

THE MAN BEHIND ROOSEVELT by Lela Stiles World Publishing Co., 1954 First Edition Condition: Near Fine in Very Good- dj This is the fascinating story of Louis Howe, who devoted 25 years of his life to fulfill his vision of putting FDR in the White House. It was written by the woman who was Howe's constant assistant from 1928 to 1936, the last eight years of his life. This long-out-of-print book has become scarce in the dust jacket. This copy is unmarked with no significant wear. The jacket has one long edge tear and some short ones and modest spine end/corner wear, but is not price clipped. One of the few nice, complete copies available of this title.
