The inner panel has been toned with a rich rust color. The rabbet is 22 1/2" x 27". This is because in the 19th century there were no standard sizes. If your artwork is smaller, your local framer can fit with a matte, liner or insert. Outside dimensions are 36" x 31", and the high relief ornament extends 3 1/2" from the wall.
