Dietary habits do not affect the quality of the test. Causes of FOB: - Hemorrhoids - Nosebleed (swallowing blood) - Medicines that increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. - Ulcers of the stomach or upper small intestine - Polyps in the colon - Inflammation of the esophagus - Cancer of the stomach or colon Composition Test cassette, stool sample sheet, sample tube with extraction buffer, instructions for use. Dose The test cannot be performed until: - ongoing menstrual bleeding and three days after the onset of menstrual bleeding. - the patient is bleeding due to hemorrhoids or blood is observed in the urine. Do NOT drink alcohol, aspirin or other drugs that may cause occult bleeding for 48 hours prior to the test. This test requires a stool sample! 1. Prepare the collection sheet (see instructions for use). Collect the sample by inserting the collection tip into the stool three times. Do not collect too large a sample! 2. Return the collection tip to the tube, cap it tightly, shake until the sample is mixed with the buffer, then open the cap and tear off the tip. 3. Apply 2 drops of sample to the test area (S). 4. After 5 minutes, read the result.
