This is a 1963 hardcover book, The Book of the American West, published by Bonanza Books. There are various authors and contributors; the editor-in-chief is Jay Monaghan and the art director is Clarence P. Hornung. It's a pretty cool book on the geography, history and sociology of the American west. Includes legend, lore, folk music and more about the westward expansion. With 608 pages and measuring 8.5" X 11", it's a pretty large and heavy book. It shows a little wear and age on the outside, nothing terrible, but it does not have a dust jacket; on the inside all of the pages are nice and clean, and there are really some great pictures and stories!
