After a hike in the woods, late that evening, I discovered a tick on the back of my head. Oh how I wish I had had one of these tick pullers. Took me forever to get it out using mirrors and tweezers! Now I carry one in my travel kit! We have dogs and they fairly often get ticks, years ago ticks would break off and get infected, when we used tweezers. Since we switched to tick pullers, they come out fast and whole every time. There are health benefits as well, since chemicals, burning or tweezing ticks can cause the tick to emit more disease ridden saliva whereas a quick twist prevents that. Also tweezers often break the head off leaving it to get infected under your skin, gross!
