Item description
#22 in the Tom Swift Jr. series. Grosset and Dunlap hardcover publication. Copyright 1963. Print year estimate is is 1963, probably a first edition, since the last title on the back cover is itself. No internal book list. Author "Victor Appleton II." Victor Appleton the first was the Stratemeyer Syndicate pen name for the initial Tom Swift series.
Very good book with excellent spine and hinges. Black and white space lab endpapers. No writing/markings, but there is a sticker removal scar on the back cover, upper right (see picture).
In this one, a friendly foreign undeveloped nation needs a highway to link jungle territory to more civilized regions to save its economy. Tom to the rescue with an ingenious aerial highway over 200 feet above ground, supported by invisible repelatron beams. In his spare time, he also develops a computer-controlled "graphicopter" pictured on the front cover.
Note to New York state residents: an 8.75% sales tax is applicable.
