Alaska Cedar, (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis 'Variegata,') is a evergreen
conifer celebrated for its striking variegated foliage and graceful eye-catching form.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade, the Variegated Alaska Cedar
prefers well-drained soil but can adapt to various soil types. It's
generally hardy in USDA zones 4 to 7 and zone 8 on the West Coast,
displaying resilience against cold temperatures and adapting well to
different climates.
This
cultivar typically grows into an upright, pyramidal tree, reaching
heights of 30 to 40 feet or more, with a spread of 10 to 15 feet. Its
striking feature is its foliage, which showcases a mix of green, yellow,
and creamy-white variegation, creating a visually stunning effect. The
variegation adds depth and interest to the tree's appearance throughout
the seasons.
Use
