The kaleidescope was made for children 5 years and up and states so on the unit. It was manufactured by Stewart manufacturing. It is almost 9 inches long. The design is animals and clowns, and very colorful. On the side you look into there is part of a sticker or paper stuck to it which would come right off with a little moisture I believe causing no damage to the unit. It has been in a smoke free home.
