I have a hunch it saw a good bit of the old world, it is the kind of patch that would be sewn on a jacket with others as a keepsake of the trip. Whomever owned this one might have hiked the entire Hindu Kush wearing it. Could stand to be washed but there could be micro-pollen from a dozen nations in it so I am leaving it as is.
