This is a really cool, mixed style, unique bird nest. It is really quite different than anything I have seen before. This bird is perfectly situated atop a fluffy nest surrounded by floral/fruity garland, sure to keep him safe, and equally protecting what lies below. While I am unsure of the maker or exact age, I believe this to be a very old Capodimonte fruit/floral lined, spaghetti bird nest, covered dish/arrangement. Capodimonte Porcelain is widely considered to be among the finest Italian porcelain products in the world. It is signed on the bottom KF24 ITALY. It measures 5" across, 4-1/2" tall. It is in great vintage condition considering the age. It does have some very small chips/fleabites on the petals, and at the beak of the bird, which is typical of this type item.
