Please see the photos of this artwork for damage with age. The signature on the bottom is hard to read because it looks like someone put a label and then peeled it off, or even tried to paint over it. "Jimenez" is clear but the rest is illegible. The seller could not guarantee it's origin, but it seems to be an Oaxacan alebrije from Mexico with lively coloring and fine detail. There is a Jimenez family of Oaxacan artist of this style who have been creating these for generations. It's about 5" by 2".
