Rare Japanese vintage postcard Japan 1933-1945 Original postcard from pre-WWII Japan (circa 1933–1945), featuring the historic Nakadaya Ryokan in Shuzenji Onsen, Izu Peninsula. This picturesque multi-storey inn stands by a serene river with an outdoor bath visible in the foreground. A wonderful example of Showa-era architecture and traditional hospitality settings in Japan. Back of the postcard is marked with "Carte Postale" and a sakura crest, often used during the 1930s– 1940s in military or government-issued cards. Text in Japanese: ???????(Kigaha y?bin) – indicating it is a photo-type postcard. Excellent condition with no writing or postage marks.
