This wonderful pair of vintage silver metal Art Deco style bookends are each embellished with a full figural cocker spaniel dog. Nicely detailed and painted black, these well behaved pups are sitting, seeming to be waiting attentively for a command from their owner. The frame of the bookends were designed in the beautiful Art Deco stepped design. Unsigned, these bookends measure approximately 4-3/4" high and 4-1/4" wide. The base of the bookends measure 4-3/8". The handsome dogs measure approximately 1-1/2" tall and 2" from the end of their tails to the tips of their snouts. This set of bookends is in great vintage condition. There are the expected scratches on the bottoms of the bookends and where books or other items marred their surface through the years. The decorative, gleaming metal exteriors where the dogs are mounted are in near perfect condition. Please see the photos to appreciate their condition and beauty.
