This is a vintage promotional cookbook (or booklet) from American National Insurance Company, titled "Recipes from Anico." In the fine print on the back it says "Form 1961," and I'm not sure if that is referring to the date of publication or not, but it definitely appears to be from the 60s. I find the cover art rather interesting, if a little bit confusing in a sexist-kinda way. It portrays what looks, at least to me, like an inept husband trying to grill steaks while his angry wife glares and clenches her fists behind him. Also, the last page of the booklet is a little section titled "Men's Recipes," which I also found sort of funny. I mean, we can't expect a MAN to cook all the recipes in the book, right? He just gets his own little section at the back so he doesn't feel left out. ;) Booklet measures 8.25" X 5.5" and has 14 pages. The only "flaw" I can find on it is that small, pinkish smudge you can see up toward the top of the cover. Other than that it's in excellent condition. Asking $5.00 obo.
