Item description

Interesting souvenir tribute to a World War Two battleship. Six inch ceramic tile is set into a 10 1/4" pewter base and ready to hang. The Alabama opened as a museum in 1964 and I expect this might have been one of their initial group of available souvenirs, and very unlikely to be later than seventies. Very Good condition. The casting of the medal is only grade B but it ought not to distract from the battleship either, I expect they used the same metal and possibly the same artwork other than the name in the scroll for any number of ships That said can't remember seeing another one of these for any of them. Two pounds shipped, see shipping calculator.
