A 15 digit code is wrote in fine tip marker across the label side of disc. Play side has some light scratches and burnishing. Pre-viewed for quality and played fine on my Samsung blu-ray in 5.1 dolby digital mode. But, for some reason there is a crackle or static on the right or left channel only at the height of high-pitched explosions and only in the 5.1 DTS sound mode. Recommend changing the audio setting to regular Dolby digital from the start on the disc menu.

Stealing the car, Ray and his family go on a backroad cross-country trek to get to the ex's house in the hopes they haven't been attacked yet. On the way, they observe the futile attempts of the army, an angry mob in a small town steals their car, a ferry they are on is capsized by a machine and, escaping to a small farmhouse, they hole up with a lunatic (Tim Robbins). From here they observe the aliens themselves on ground patrol and the machines capture some people alive.
The machines grind up people with other chemicals and spray their liquid fertilizer on everything causing the rapid growth of otherworldly vines in an attempt to terraform the planet. The burning cities, planes falling out of the sky, mass hysteria and killings, weapons are useless, the end of mankind appears to be imminent...
