Offered here is this wonderful Vintage Woven Basket with Tin Insert. The basket and tin have been painted with a ivory color, although it is quite worn, and dusty, and needs a good cleaning. The paint is chipping off of the tin insert in many places, and this will need to be repainted. The tin insert has some very light surface rust on it in a few spots, and some staining on the inside. I am unsure of the age or origins of the basket. The basket itself is in good condition, but there are a couple of small breaks at the top of the handle, but they do not compromise the integrity of the basket at all. The basket is a wonderful shape, and is 27.5" tall, 7.75" deep, 21" across the handle, 9.5" by 6.25" across the area where the insert fits, and 7.5" by 4.75" across the insert, and 7" by 10.25" at the base. The insert is also bent a little at one side, but again, it is not enough to affect the integrity of the basket. This is a wonderful old vintage basket with tin insert, and would be a great display piece.
