Wooden board made from naturally fallen Scandinavian Juniper trees. The trees originate from the Aland Islands Archipelago. The wood is smoothed, but otherwise left in its natural state (no sealing wax/oil or anything like that), which means it still smells wonderful! For this one I have chosen the phrase Fud?shin (???), which is a state of equanimity or imperturbability (literally and metaphorically, "immovable mind", "immovable heart" or "unmoving heart"). It is a philosophical or mental dimension to Japanese martial arts which contributes to the effectiveness of the advanced practitioner.
