I am a Los Angeles based journalist and Culinary Engagement Strategist which means I use multiple platforms to inspire people to cook palate pleasing, eye popping home cooked means. In 2023 I served as the ambassador representing the United States at Host Milano, an international culinary and hospitality conference in Milan, Italy.
I was also featured on the Food Network and created a chicken croquette recipe that left the judges doing a happy dance.
Out of the 2020 COVID-19 created a podcast right in my kitchen which was resident on 94.7 The Wave Radio Station website. There I stepped listeners though some of my favorite recipes.
I am Editor-in-Chief of the widely read food blog collardgreensandcaviar.com (which is on hiatus) where I share recipes and stories featuring food.
I was featured on the nationally syndicated show Access Daily where I debuted my “Soulful Hummus” recipe. I was also the project manager and co-writer of the Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper “Taste of Soul Cookbook” published in 2013. I have developed recipes for Goya Foods and Cut n Clean Greens.
In 2018 I won a chef experience contest and shadowed James Beard Award-winning Chef Jamie Bissonette of Toro Boston/NY Restaurants during the All-Star Chef’s Classic in Los Angeles. I was a recurring guest on the City of Torrance Community Cooking Show where I featured many of my original recipes. I also conduct healthy cooking demos at churches in underserved communities and for professional trade groups and organizations.
