Este medallon refinado es una reedicion moderna de la moneda de 2 dolares de Terranova de 1883, parte de la única serie de monedas de oro acuñadas exclusivamente para la colonia britanica de Terranova. El anverso presenta un retrato digno de la reina Victoria, rodeado por la inscripcion VICTORIA D:G: REG: NEWFOUNDLAND, que captura la mezcla de elegancia imperial y orgullo colonial que caracterizo la independencia monetaria de Terranova a finales del siglo XIX?. La representacion juvenil de Victoria refleja el simbolismo duradero de estabilidad y legitimidad real durante su largo reinado.
El reverso presenta la denominacion característica y altamente legible "2 DOLARES / 1883", rodeado por la inscripcion de moneda híbrida DOSCIENTOS CENTAVOS - CIEN PENIQUES.
