Item description
Alstroemeria psittacina, with the common name’s Peruvian lily, Parrot flower, Parrot lily, Lily of the Incas, Princess lily, and New Zealand Christmas bell.
The tropical flower is found in Brazil and Argentina. But prefers cooler temperature Grows well in Zones 7 to 10.
The best part is that it has its "unique beautiful green foliage during most of the winter months" depending on the growing zone. Has foliage most of the year.
The bloom on this plant is one of the most brilliant and explosive shows around. The colors are many, and the blossom is breathtaking. This perennial plant likes to live in the sun or partial shade and blooms in spring and fall. New growth in spring and summer. If planted in summer, will come in fall. Hummingbirds love this plant.
Easy to grow, does great in full sun and part shade. My wife and I love its unusual coloring, and the cut flowers are very long lasting.
