Item description
Vintage 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the classic silent film drama/romance, THE SON OF THE SHEIK, released in 1926 by United Artists and directed by George Fitzmaurice. The son of the sheik (Rudolph Valentino) and a dancing girl (Vilma Banky) fall in love, but when he is made to believe she has betrayed him, he seeks his revenge.
The image is of the cover of a piece of original sheet music and depicts handsome Rudolph Valentino, wearing one of the many elaborate Middle Eastern costumes for his role of Ahmed, as he holds beautiful Vilma Banky in his arms. Printed most likely in the 1950's, this vintage copy photograph is in very fine condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.
