Item description
Alstroemeria psittacina, with the common name’s Peruvian lily, Parrot flower, Parrot lily, Lily of the Incas, Princess lily, and New Zealand Christmas bell.
The tropical flower is found in Brazil and Argentina. Grows well in Zones 7 to 10.
Healthy Tubers are ready to plant now;
The parrot plant has a shallow tuber root system (looking like long peanuts). It will grow almost anywhere. Does well in pots.
My wife uses it often in flower arrangements as the green leaves go with most flowers and will last about 2 weeks in a vase. The flowering part of the plant is separate from its foliage. It will be a long 1-3-foot stem with a cluster of 3-7 flowers. The foliage is shorter than the flowers, from 6 inches to 1 1/2 feet.
You will receive approx. 3-9 tubers on each cluster set, making for a total of Forty tubers.
