Questa restrizione moderna sapientemente realizzata replica fedelmente un sesterzio imperiale romano storicamente significativo, originariamente emesso sotto l'imperatore Claudio (41-54 d.C.). Il dritto presenta in modo prominente un ritratto finemente dettagliato di Claudio Cesare Augusto, riconosciuto dagli storici per le sue ambiziose opere pubbliche e la notevole espansione delle infrastrutture romane. La sua autorevole raffigurazione, circondata dalla leggenda latina "TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP", simboleggia la suprema autorita dell'imperatore sul vasto impero romano durante la sua prima era imperiale.
Sul rovescio, la moneta raffigura magnificamente la figura seduta di Cerere Augusta, la venerata dea romana dell'agricoltura, della fertilita e della prosperita. Il suo ritratto regale, circondato dalla chiara scritta "CERES AVGVSTA S C", fa riferimento all'approvazione del Senato ("Senatus Consulto") per questa importante emissione.
