Tall Utah 52-70 Celery is a popular and widely adapted variety that grows to 30 inches tall. It produces long smooth stalks with a crisp, tender texture. The variety has good heart development, strong roots, and good disease tolerance, but plants will bolt in cold weather. It takes approximately 100 days to mature Growing tall Utah celery requires the following steps: Start Indoors: Begin 10-12 weeks before the last frost. Germination: Seeds will germinate in 10-20 days. Plant Outdoors: Space plants 8-10 inches apart. Light: Celery needs full sun or partial shade. Soil Preparation: Celery requires rich, moist soil. Add compost and organic fertilizer. Transplant seedlings when they are 10-12 cm (4-5 inches) tall. Sowing Seeds: Sow celery seeds indoors in a warm, well-lighted area or hotbed.
